The best ship is friendship!

Across two regions they came
with all their goals exactly the same.
To meet new people & learn new things,
optimistic of what an open mind shall bring.

We began in a circle showing our GLOW.
It was just a taste of what we would come to know
of these learners' personalities and inner selves,
a difficult share for those just above twelve.

For some it took long, understandably so,
to open up and really just let go
of the preconceived notions on how they should be
while discussing hard topics like gender and puberty.

How can you expect teens to open up so quick?
Finding the leaders in class will usually do the trick.
From dominance to influence, compliance to steadiness,
their leadership type fueled their readiness

to share their thoughts with an almost stranger,
in spite of all the apparent fears & danger.
This is the way a leader actually leads!
Being open to new ideas sows the seeds

for those are you to think fresh & bold,
an air of open mindedness is what they must mold.
This they are all capable, those brilliant young minds,
to push Namibia forward and leave ignorance behind.
